Every situation is different, and when you need expanded FDIC insurance coverage, we’re pleased to offer a solution as an Intrafi Network member. That solution is the CDARS CD account,x which has the potential to provide you access to FDIC insurance coverage on up to $50 million in deposits.x Through the IntraFi Network, the funds you submit for placement in a CDARS CD with us are divided into amounts under the standard FDIC insurance maximum of $250K and placed into CDs at other banks in the network.x The benefits for you include broader financial security and the added convenience of working with just one bank while still accessing coverage through multiple institutions.

New orders must be completed by the CDARS CD order date, typically Wednesday by 11 a.m. (ET).
Keep in mind that CDARS CDs do not fund immediately.x Take note of the following funding methods and deadlines for getting your funds to us for placement into a CDARS CD.
Checks — Friday prior to CDARS CD order date, 5 p.m. (ET)
Internal account transfers or wire transfers — Noon on the CDARS CD order date
Already have a CDARS CD account? Keep in mind that CDARS CDs do not roll over automatically. Here’s when and how to place a reinvestment request:
Maturity notice — Maturity notices will be sent 15 days prior to the CDARS CD maturity date.
Reinvestment requests — Importantly, all reinvestment requests must be received by 9 p.m. (ET) on the Tuesday prior to your maturity date. Requests may be sent to us by any of the methods noted below. Upon receiving your request, we’ll be in touch if additional information is required.

- Select the Actions tab
- In the TIAA Documents section, select Upload documents
- Select files you would like to upload and include any additional documentation that could expedite this request
