1 oz. Australian Kangaroos

An iconic symbol in Australia, the kangaroo is featured on an Australian silver coin for the first time. Struck in 0.9999 silver, the obverse depicts Queen Elizabeth II and the reverse features an image of the red kangaroo designed by Dr. Stuart Devlin. In another first, the Australian mint has included a micro-engraved “A” appearing on the reverse side, visible under magnification, to provide authentication and counterfeit detection.
