We're working carefully to bring together TIAA Direct and EverBank under our new name, TIAA Bank. You should expect this transition to be completed in June. In the meantime, here's the information you should know about banking with us right now.

  • Please continue to bank just as you currently do - online, by mobile and by phone.
  • Use your same checks and debit cards.
  • We'll be communicating with you along the way so you'll always know what's happening as we get ready to serve you as TIAA Bank.

Enhanced online capabilities

People Pay makes it easy, quick and convenient to pay people directly anytime—right from a smart phone or computer. With a few clicks, you’ll be able to pay anyone, no matter where they bank, via a text message or email. People Pay works right from your mobile banking app or from online banking. There is no cost for senders or recipients.

In addition to depositing a check through your mobile device, you’ll be able to make a deposit directly through online banking simply by scanning your check.

At, you’ll have more self-service features available to you. Go to the Service tab and select from a variety of options, including account services, such as initiating a wire transfer and account maintenance tasks, such as updating beneficiaries.

Start tracking account activity and finances with customized email alerts for:

  • Upcoming CD maturities
  • Current and available account balances
  • Transaction posting
  • Withdrawal postingg
  • Credit card payment processed/failed
  • Change in debit card status
  • Debit card transaction equal to or more than a specified amount
  • International or out-of-state debit card transaction

Go to the Service tab and select Manage Alerts to set up alerts beginning June 18.

Our bank's legal name is TIAA, FSB. FSB is an acronym for Federal Savings Bank. This summer, we will make the transition from TIAA Direct to our new brand name, TIAA Bank. As part of this change, we will introduce you to an enhanced new web experience, and you will begin to see our name in other various client communications, including mail, email and online.

Yes. You can continue to use your same checks, even after our name changes to TIAA Bank. Then, when your current supply of checks runs out, simply reorder and your new checks will have the TIAA Bank name and logo.

No. Your account number will be modified. The first digits of your current number will be dropped so that it is just 10 digits in length. For example, if your current account number is 123456789012, your updated account number will be 3456789012.

You will receive a new TIAA Bank debit card to replace your TIAA Direct card in late May or early June.

Follow the instructions for activating and using your new card once you receive it. Provide new card information to any company authorized to deduct an automatic payment from your card.

We'll have a new URL,, come mid-June. You'll continue to use your same sign on credentials. Additional information about online banking, bill pay and mobile banking will be provided in the guide to banking with TIAA Bank that will be mailed in mid-May.

Yes, for your data to transfer smoothly when we update our online banking system, you will need to modify your Quicken settings. We will provide specific step-by-step instructions on this Client Information Hub during the first week of June.

Please note that you will need to take some actions prior to June 15 at Then, you will need to make a few last modifications at beginning on June 18. Please check back for detailed instructions.
