TIAA Bank, THE PLAYERS, Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation and the PGA TOUR Wives Association team up for ‘These Kids Can Play’

The event returns to welcome Community PedsCare back to THE PLAYERS

Jacksonville, FL. — March 23, 2022 — As part of its commitment to serve the community, TIAA Bank has once again teamed up with Community PedsCare, Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation, THE PLAYERS Championship and the PGA TOUR Wives Association to sponsor “These Kids Can Play.” This annual event welcomed Community PedsCare® patients and families for a remarkable day at THE PLAYERS at TPC Sawgrass.

We’ve worked together for nearly a decade in support of its mission and are proud to celebrate and encourage these families together.”

TIAA Bank joined the Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation and the PGA TOUR Wives Association in hosting Community PedsCare families for special music, arts and crafts, face painting, TIAA Bank’s Selfies for Change special photo booth experience and more. Former U.S. Open winner, PGA TOUR player, and local resident Jim Furyk and his wife, Tabitha, are supporters of Community PedsCare and joined the fun.

Former Community PedsCare patient, Monterious Phillip joined Cunkle at the annual luncheon following the event to share a few remarks about his experience and what it means to have that support. During the event, THE PLAYERS Executive Director Jared Rice also presented a $30,000 donation from the championship to Community PedsCare, a donation matched by TIAA Bank.

Since 2014, TIAA Bank, Community PedsCare and the Jacksonville Jaguars have teamed up to host “Jaguars for a Day.” Community PedsCare families come to TIAA Bank Field, where each child signs a contract, receives a personalized jersey and becomes a member of the team for a day. TIAA Bank continued the tradition this year and virtually welcomed three additional families to the Jaguars team.
